Olympia Dukakis is the subject of this new feature-length documentary, which focuses on the Oscar-winning actress’ life and career. In addition to showcasing the ups and downs of her decades in acting, “Olympia” concentrates on the present day, by following Dukakis over the course of three years, from age 80 to 83.
The film’s screening marks the opening of the San Francisco Greek Film Festival, which will take place at a variety of venues between Sunday, Oct. 20, and Saturday, Oct. 26.
Dukakis, cousin of 1988 Democratic presidential candidate Michael Dukakis, is also slated to receive the San Francisco Greek Film Festival’s Honorary Astron Award.
