Congratulations to writer Tracy Sunderland and director Sonia Liza Kenterman for their movie Nicoleta! The 19 minute drama takes place in Epirus, Greece, 1951. In the mountains of Greece still full of the hatreds of the civil war, a boy, as the head of his family, is responsible for the destiny of his baby sister. Carrying the baby on his shoulders, he treks the inhospitable mountains and braves the dangers of unforgiving people in the hope of escaping poverty. The short movie was shown at our festival on Friday, May 9th. For both the writer and the director, we wish continued success in their careers!
