The 16th San Francisco Greek Film Festival opens SUNDAY, OCTOBER 20, at the historic Castro Theater!

Opening Night’s feature film is Olympia – a feature documentary on the life of Academy Award winner and prominent Greek American Olympia Dukakis, directed by Harry Mavromihalis, who will be in attendance with several members of his filmmaking team. Mrs. Dukakis will receive this festival’s Honorary Astron Award (via video).

The evening’s short film is I am Mackenzie directed by Artemis Anastasiadou, who will also be present.

Reception immediately following the screenings on the second floor of the Castro Theater. **Stairs only, no elevator.

Built in 1922, the Castro Theater is a registered San Francisco landmark and one of the few remaining movie palaces in the nation from that era that is still in operation.

Parking is difficult. Taxi/ride share encouraged.
