Synopsis: Maria, who lives on an island, discovers she is pregnant when she visits her religious sister in Athens for their mother’s memorial service. The unexpected pregnancy at forty and an unexpected encounter make her realize that only by coming to terms with her choices can she “laugh, no matter what the world says.”
